(Mecklenburg County, NC) -- A man is in police custody after being tied to the death of a woman who was found dead in the woods of Fairfield County.
Deputies with the Mecklenburg County Sheriff's Department says Charles William Combs was arrested Thursday in connection with the death of Laporscha Chantel Baldwin.
According to officers, Baldwin was found dead in the wooded area of the White Oak Community. Her cause of death is unknown.
Combs now faces one count of murder.
