(Columbia, SC) -- A high school freshman is facing charges after allegedly bringing a gun to school.
Police found a loaded handgun in a 14-year-old's bag at Richland Northeast High School on Monday afternoon.
The student is charged with possession of a pistol under 18, having a weapon on school grounds, and unlawful carry.
No students were threatened during the incident.
