(Columbia, SC) -- A man found guilty of killing his children is challenging his death sentence this morning.
Timothy Ray Jones Jr. was found guilty on five counts of murder in 2019 for the deaths of one-year-old Abigail, two-year-old Gabriel, six-year-old Nahtahn, seven-year-old Elias, and eight-year-old Mera.
Jones Jr. is challenging his conviction on the accusation that some jurors should have been qualified or disqualified in the case.
His original plea of not guilty by reason of insanity may also be part of the appeal.
