(Sumter, SC) - U.S. Congressman and Majority Whip Jim Clyburn has COVID-19.
He was with President Biden at South Carolina State University last week, but had tested negative for the virus prior to the visit.
Clyburn took an at-home test ahead of his granddaughter's wedding and began to self-quarantine when the results were inconclusive.
A PCR test he took on Monday came back positive.
Clyburn says he is asymptomatic after being fully vaccinated and receiving a booster shot, but will have to miss his granddaughter's wedding.
