Chapin Football Player Will Not Serve Jail Time After Pleading Guilty

(Chapin, SC) - A high school football player accused of criminal sexual conduct with a minor is taking a plea deal.

David Bennett Galloway pleaded guilty on Wednesday to third-degree assault and battery and minor possession of alcohol. Because of the agreement, the Chapin High School senior will not serve jail time.

He will be required to serve 220 hours of community service, meet with retired law enforcement officers about consequences of sexual offenses, complete counseling sessions, and provide restitution to the victim.

Galloway must also attend alcohol prevention education classes, pass weekly drug tests and daily breathalyzer tests, and have no further arrests.
