Hospitalizations For COVID-19 Increasing In South Carolina

(Columbia, SC) - Hospitalizations for COVID-19 are increasing in South Carolina. 

Fourteen-point-five-percent more patients have been admitted to hospitals this week than last week. 

Over 15-percent more are in intensive care units, according to the Department of Health and Environmental Control. 

More than 82-percent of adult ICU beds are in use statewide, with 80-percent of South Carolina's pediatric ICU beds also occupied.
