(Columbia, SC) - Approximately 100 people are speaking out against proposed abortion legislation.
The People's Rally for Abortion Justice was held at the South Carolina State House Thursday morning.
Those in attendance oppose S.988, which would ban all abortions in South Carolina, and S.907, which would require patients receiving drug-induced or chemical abortions to be given information about an abortion reversal procedure that OB-GYNs have testified is unproven and could be life-threatening.
Both bills were on the agenda for the Senate Medical Affairs Committee, but they did not get taken up on Thursday.
