(Columbia, SC) -- South Carolina lawmakers unanimously extending a sweeping election reform bill during a vote in the House of Representatives chamber this week.
The announcement of the 114-0 bipartisan vote was met with cheers and applause on the floor Wednesday.
The bill requires every county in the state to offer two weeks of in-person, early voting, six days a week leading up to an election, among other requirements.
The changes were first proposed after a record number of South Carolinians voted early in the 2020 general election due to the state offering extended early voting due to the pandemic.
