(Columbia, SC) -Lawmakers in the South Carolina House are hoping to fast-track the "Save Women's Sports Act".
The proposed legislation would prohibit transgender girls and women from competing in girls and womens sports at the middle school, high school, and collegiate levels.
On Thursday, the House Rules Committee voted thirteen to three to prioritize the measure for debate next week.
The Senate has a similar bill up for consideration, which passed the Senate Education Committee last week.
