(Columbia, SC) -A subcommittee of South Carolina lawmakers will discuss legalizing medical marijuana on Thursday.
This comes after the Medical, Military, Public and Municipal Affairs Committee heard six hours of public testimony on the SC Compassionate Care Act on Monday.
The measure would make cannabis available by prescription for people with certain medical conditions, but it does not legalize smoking marijuana.
Thursday's meeting could bring a vote to send the bill to the House floor to be debated.
