South Carolina Supreme Court To Hold Hearing On Scheduled Execution

(Spartanburg County, SC)- The South Carolina Supreme Court will hold a hearing ahead of a scheduled execution.

Richard Moore is sentenced to death for killing a convenience store employee in Spartanburg County in 1999.

His attorney filed a motion last week calling for a review of if the state's two execution methods- electric chair or firing squad- are constitutional.

The outcome of Thursday's hearing could delay Moore's execution, which is currently planned for April 29th.
