(Columbia, SC) - South Carolina state senators are laying out a proposed one-point-two-billion dollar budget.
The Senate's budget includes two-billion dollars in tax cuts and raising minimum teacher pay to 38-thousand dollars.
It also plans to invest 100-million dollars into roads and 20-million dollars for the Department of Juvenile Justice to have a facility for mentally ill children.
A final vote is expected Thursday, but then the Senate and House have to meet to work out differences between each of their budgets plans.
