(Columbia, SC) - The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control is calling on parents and guardians to get children six months and over vaccinated.
DHEC held a press conference Wednesday after the FDA issued emergency use authorization to COVID-19 vaccines for the youngest age group.
State health officials say getting young children vaccinated will help protect vulnerable community members.
So far, South Carolina has over 27-thousand doses of Moderna and over 27-thousand doses of Pfizer shots for the six month and up age group.
