(Spartanburg County, SC)- Spartanburg County is mourning a deputy who died from an injury received after being ambushed.
Police were responding to a domestic call at a home Tuesday afternoon when 25-year-old Deputy Austin Aldridge was shot.
He died just before 9:30 Tuesday night after serving with the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office for around three years.
During a pursuit, suspect Duane Heard was shot twice and remains in the hospital. SLED is investigating.
