(Sumter County, SC)- The 20th Fighter Wing is conducting an exercise at Shaw Air Force Base this week.
Starting today, there may be increased military activity on and near the base.
Then on Friday, the exercise will include an "active threat event" which the base says could include loud noises and simulated gunfire.
Anyone who works or lives near the base is advised to take note of the planned exercises.
