Two Monkeypox Cases Confirmed In South Carolina

(Columbia, SC) - Health officials are confirming two cases of monkeypox in South Carolina. 

DHEC says one of the patients is in the Midlands and the other is in the Lowcountry. 

Contact tracing is underway, but health officials say risk to the general population is still low. 

The CDC is confirming over 700 cases of monkeypox across the U.S.
