Lexington-Richland Five Trustee Faces Ethics Inquiry

(Columbia, SC) -- A Lexington-Richland Five Board of Trustees member is facing an ethics inquiry. 

Vice Chair Kenneth Loveless is accused of not recusing himself from a district construction project.

The complaint alleges his business, Loveless Commercial Contracting, was taking on subcontracting work for the district. 

Loveless is also accused of not disclosing a million-dollar contract with Contract Construction, which was involved in a project at Piney Woods Elementary. 

A hearing is scheduled for February of 2023.
