(Columbia, SC) -- South Carolina is joining a multi-state lawsuit disputing new White House guidance on sex discrimination.
In May, the USDA Food and Nutrition Services announced discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity falls under Title IX and the Food and Nutrition Act.
South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson says this puts the state's Title IX and SNAP school lunch funding at risk.
He now joins 21 other attorneys general in the lawsuit after asking President Biden in June to withdraw the guidance.
