State Senator Wants Books Removed From Kids' Section At Libraries

(Spartanburg County, SC)-- A state senator representing Spartanburg County is calling on public libraries to remove certain books from children's sections.

Senator Josh Kimbrell and the Palmetto Family Council gathered across from the Spartanburg County Public Libraries headquarters Monday.

They discussed kids' books about gender identity, and those depicting cartoon nudity.

Kimbrell threatened to author an amendment to the South Carolina budget defunding library executives' salaries if the books are not removed.
