Richland County Sheriff’s deputies responded to reports of shots fired at Blythewood High School this morning.
The school was placed on lockdown as deputies searched the campus but found no evidence of any gunfire or injuries.
RCSD says the call was a hoax, just one of several made to schools across the state today.
Similar calls were made to Burke High School. Beaufort High School and several schools in Horry County.
