(Columbia, SC) - A ruling from the South Carolina Supreme Court is expected after they heard arguments for and against the state's fetal heartbeat law.
The measure became law in 2021, banning most abortions after six weeks.
The law was blocked in August and will stay that way until the South Carolina Supreme Court makes a decision.
After Wednesday's more than two hour hearing, justices must now determine if the law violates South Carolina's constitutional right to privacy.
