(Columbia, SC) -- Governor McMaster is seeking a Presidential Disaster Declaration. This comes after Hurricane Ian hit the state in September.
A report from the South Carolina Emergency Management Division and FEMA says the storm caused 17 homes to be destroyed and hundreds more to suffer major damage.
If President Biden approves McMaster's request, the FEMA Individual Assistance Program would provide financial assistance to those who had uninsured damages from the hurricane.
