Richland Fixes Issue With Mail-In Ballots

(Richland, SC) -- Issues with mail-in ballots in Richland have been addressed by election officials.

Some mail-in ballots in the county were returned to voters due to an issue with the barcodes on the envelopes.

WACH Fox 57 News reports that the South Carolina Election Commission stepped in to correct the issue.

Although it shouldn't happen, election officials say there are options for voters should they have their ballots sent back to them.

These include returning the ballot in person to a county voter registration office or an early voting center or taking the ballot directly to the post office.
