South Carolina Election Results

Voting when pretty much as expected in South Carolina Tuesday night.

It was an early call in the US Senate race between Tim Scott and Krystle Matthews with Scott taking 63% of the vote.

Gov. Henry McMaster earned another four years with a resounding win over Joe Cunningham. The victory gives McMaster a chance to be the longest serving governor in our state’s history.

In a late call Ellen Weaver, who led most of the night, was declared the winner in her bid to lead South Carolina schools. With 90% of the vote in she led her Democrat opponent Lisa Ellis by 12 points.

It was also a late call in the Low Country where GOP incumbent Nancy Mace held off Annie Andrews.

Aside from the James Clyburn victory in House District 6, GOP candidates held their seats including an easy win for Joe Wilson in District 2.
