(Colleton County, SC)- An alibi is being filed in former attorney Alex Murdaugh's murder trial.
Murdaugh's defense team claims he was not present when his wife and son were killed in Colleton County in 2021.
Instead, the defense claims Murdaugh left just after 9 p.m. to visit his mother in Varnville, and returned back to the property at 10:05 p.m., where he allegedly found Maggie and Paul Murdaugh dead.
His trial is set to begin January 23rd.
