SC Supreme Court Rules Heartbeat Abortion Bill Unconstitutional

The South Carolina Supreme Court today struck down the state’s so called Heartbeat Abortion bill.

In a 3-2 vote, the court says that 6 weeks is not a reasonable period of time for a woman to know that she is pregnant.

The ruling says the law is in violation of a woman’s right to privacy under the state’s Constitution.
