Proposed School Voucher Bill Moves Forward In South Carolina Senate

(Columbia, SC) - South Carolina's proposed school voucher bill will get a second reading.

Senators voted along party lines Tuesday to move the measure forward.

If it becomes law, the program would give thousands of students state funding to pay for private school tuition.

The bill goes before Senators for a perfunctory vote today before being sent to the South Carolina House of Representatives.
