Senate Committee Passes Shield Bill For Lethal Injections

(Columbia, SC) -- A bill to start lethal injections again in South Carolina is moving forward at the State House.

The shield law bill was passed by a Senate committee Thursday.

If passed, it would hide the identities of drug manufacturers and pharmacies that sell the state lethal injection drugs.

This comes after the South Carolina Supreme Court announced it would delay a ruling on the constitutionality of the electric chair or firing squad as death penalty options.
