(Columbia, SC) - There are two new jurors in the Alex Murdaugh double murder trial.
The alternates stepped in on Monday after two jurors were dismissed after contracting COVID-19.
Prosecutors and the defense team expressed concerns that the virus could spread to other jurors and cause a mistrial.
The Colleton County judge decided to move forward with the trial without any delays.
