(Columbia, SC)Ā --Ā South Carolina House lawmakers are considering a bill aimed at addressing public safety.
Ā If passed, the measure would automatically revoke the initial bond for someone accused of committing a violent crime while out on that bond.Ā
Under the new system, a new bond hearing would then be held within 14 days.Ā
The Judiciary Committee advanced the bill to the House floor 16 to 7.
