Bill To Allow Alcohol Delivery, Curbside Pickup Being Considered

(Columbia, SC) - State lawmakers are considering a bill that would allow residents 21 and older to buy some alcohol for curbside pickup or delivery.

Curbside pickup of alcohol was permitted under an emergency order toward the start of the pandemic, but is no longer allowed.

A proposed measure would change that, allowing delivery and curbside pickup for sealed beer, wine and liquor.

There would be special licenses for delivery and all customers would have to show their ID when ordering and when receiving the delivery.
