(Beaufort County, SC) - The Beaufort County Sheriff's Office is patrolling outside the home of Buster Murdaugh.
The son of the recently convicted Alex Murdaugh has been the focus of recent public scrutiny in connection to the 2015 death of 19-year-old Stephen Smith in Hampton County.
After Alex Murdaugh's sentencing, a bystander shouted "you're next" when Buster Murdaugh was leaving the Colleton County Courthouse.
Buster Murdaugh then contacted officials in Beaufort County after a photo of him inside his house was published by the New York Post, and again when he said he was being followed in an SUV.
