(Columbia, SC) -A former Fort Jackson trainee is found not guilty by reason of insanity.
Jovan Collazo was accused of hijacking a school bus with an unloaded rifle in May of 2021.
Eighteen children plus the driver were on the bus at the time, but were eventually let off. After the incident, Collazo was diagnosed with schizophrenia.
A judge has ordered him to be committed to a facility for hospitalization for no longer than 120 days.
