South Carolina Senate Approves Incentive Package For Electric Car Company

(Columbia, SC) -- The South Carolina Senate is advancing an incentive package for a company planning to make electric cars in Richland County.

The one-point-three-billion dollars in incentives for Scout Motors was passed Tuesday.

As part of the agreement, the company must hire South Carolina residents for 80-percent of the four-thousand jobs they need to fill.

Scout Motors hopes to start their work in Blythewood in three years.
