A Sumter bar experiencing an increase in reports of violence is now closing.
Someone was shot to death at Brewers Bar & Grill last weekend -- one of dozens of calls to police from the bar in the past few years. In response, the Sumter Police Department asked the South Carolina Department of Revenue to revoke the bar's alcohol license. The owner of Brewers Bar & Grill decided to close voluntarily out of respect to the city.
