SLED Chief Joins Governor To Talk Gun Violence Statistics In South Carolina

(Columbia, SC) - The leader of the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division is speaking out about gun violence in the state.

Chief Mark Keel says there has been an over 50-percent increase in murders across the state in the past decade.

Keel announced that statistic at a conference with Governor Henry McMaster late last week.

Keel and McMaster were speaking in favor of stricter penalties for repeat offenders as well as for bond reform.
