Former Political Consultant Enters Alford Plea

(Columbia, SC) - A former political consultant connected to several South Carolina officials is entering his plea for the perjury and obstruction of justice charges against him.

Richard Quinn Senior is accused of using his consulting firm to help violate state ethics law.

That firm- Richard Quinn and Associates- is tied to South Carolina Republicans including Governor McMaster, Senator Lindsey Graham, and former Columbia Mayor Steve Benjamin.

Quinn entered an Alford plea this week- meaning he believes he is innocent but pleaded guilty due to the likelihood of a guilty plea. Quinn will serve 18 months on home detention.
