(Lexington, SC) - A proposed development in Lexington would create hundreds of jobs.
The 733-million dollar resort would be located at Lake Murray.
The Smallwood Cove project would include two hotels, a marina, retail and restaurant space, and over one-thousand private residential units and is expected to create 400 tourism jobs.
Five acres of land will be used for a regional conference center to be donated to the Town of Lexington.
The plan goes before the planning commission next week before a public hearing being held in June.
