(Undated) -- A motion filed by one of Alex Murdaugh's attorneys is being denied.
One of Murdaugh's defense attorneys was asking a circuit judge to release funds from Murdaugh's retirement account to pay for the appeal of his life sentence.
The judge denied the request Friday.
This comes after Murdaugh was convicted with the 2021 deaths of his wife and son.
He faces more than 100 other criminal charges.
