(Columbia, SC) - Several agencies across South Carolina are conducting a full-scale hurricane evacuation exercise this week.
From 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, emergency management officials will test how lane reversals would work in the state's three major coastal regions.
The tests are happening along I-26, US 21, US 278, US 501, and SC 544.
Though there may be an increased law enforcement presence in these areas, officials say the exercise will not block or interfere with regular traffic.
