South Carolina Lawmakers Meeting Again Today To Negotiate State Budget

(Columbia, SC) -- South Carolina lawmakers are expected to meet again today to negotiate the state's budget.

This comes after a group of House and Senate legislators met in public view Wednesday to discuss the 13-billion dollar budget, which is set to begin July 1st.

They're currently in a deadlock over funding for universities in the state.

Both chambers have already agreed upon raises for most state workers and law enforcement officers.
