(Fort Jackson, SC)-- An investigation is underway after a soldier missing from Fort Jackson was found dead.
Forty-year-old Staff Sergeant Jaime Contreras was participating in a training at a land navigation course Monday, but didn't return when he was due back by 1 p.m.
His body was found after 11 p.m. Monday.
A cause of death has not been released.
