(Hilton Head Island, SC)- An alligator attack is being blamed for a woman's death on Hilton Head Island.
A 69-year-old woman who lived in the community was found Tuesday at the edge of a lagoon that borders the golf course.
A gator had to be removed from the area in order for the woman's body to be recovered.
Police are still investigating, but believe the alligator attacked when the woman was walking her dog.
