Parents Of Carl Smalls Jr. File Complaint Over Early Release Of Killer

(Columbia, SC) -- A murder victim's parents are filing a complaint after the man convicted of killing their son was released early from prison.

Jeroid Price was sentenced to 35 years to life for the death of Carl Smalls Junior.

Price served 19 years of that sentence after 5th Circuit Solicitor Byron Gipson and defense attorney Todd Rutherford negotiated an order for Price's release, signed by now-retired Judge Casey Manning.

A letter from Smalls' parents requests Gipson be sanctioned, Rutherford be disbarred, and Manning be reprimanded.
