(Columbia, SC)-- Columbia city leaders are holding off on a decision to ban a number of smoke shop products.
The council decided last night to send an idea back to the public safety committee for a review.
On the table is a proposal to eliminate paraphernalia like pipes and measuring scales.
The ordinance does not make an exception for tobacco pipes, even though state law does.
The public safety committee won't meet again for more than a month.
