Judge To Determine If Search Warrant Exceeded Scope In Rick Chow Case

A judge is considering whether or not a search warrant served on a Columbia gas station owner exceeded its scope.

A hearing was held Tuesday at the request of Rick Chow's defense team. Chow is accused in the deadly shooting of 14-year-old Cyrus Carmack-Belton, who was shot in May after Chow falsely accused the teen of shoplifting from his store.

The judge asked SLED agents to stop reviewing what they got from the search warrant while he makes a decision.
