(Charleston, SC)-- An Alex Murdaugh co-conspirator will spend seven years in prison for his role in a scheme to defraud clients.
Russell Laffitte was sentenced at Charleston's federal courthouse after an hours-long hearing Tuesday.
The former CEO of Palmetto State Bank was already found guilty in November of six federal financial crimes.
Laffitte apologized to victims in the courtroom before he was sentenced.
