Gov. McMaster Declares State Of Emergency Before Hurricane Idalia Impacts

(Columbia, SC) - Governor McMaster is declaring a State of Emergency due to Hurricane Idalia.

After making landfall in Florida, the storm is expected to impact the Georgia-Carolina coast.

McMaster's executive order, issued Tuesday, was said to be out of an abundance of caution to prepare state resources.

McMaster asks South Carolina residents to start preparing for potential flooding and power outages.
