Charleston Harbor Records Fifth Highest Water Level Due To Idalia

(Charleston, SC)- The water level at the Charleston Harbor is reaching its fifth highest water level ever recorded after Idalia hit South Carolina.

That's according to the National Weather Service after the water level went higher than 9-feet Wednesday night.

This is only slightly lower than the levels recorded during Hurricane Matthew in 2016 and Hurricane Irma in 2017.

Charleston Police has closed some roads due to flooding.
