(Simi Valley, CA)-- Two presidential candidates from South Carolina were among participants for the second Republican primary debate.
U.S. Senator Tim Scott of South Carolina and the Palmetto State's former governor, Nikki Haley, were among the seven to take the stage.
Notably missing was former President Donald Trump.
At one moment, Scott accused Haley of spending 50-thousand dollars on curtains when she served as the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations.
Despite the two facing off during the debate, Haley actually appointed Scott to the Senate seat that he holds when she was governor.
